FC Barcelona – Valencia CF (Wednesday 3 February, 21:00 CET)
The Camp Nou will play host to the first leg of the opening Copa del Rey semi-final, with two Liga BBVA giants going head to head in a mouth-watering tie. When the sides met in the league at Mestalla on 5 December, Luis Suarez and Santi Mina were on the scoresheet in a one-all draw.
'Los Azulgranas' are brimming with confidence at present, having stretched their lead at the top of the Liga BBVA with a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid on the weekend. Valencia, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 home defeat by R. Sporting, with high-profile January signings Denis Cheryshev and Guilherme Siqueira vying for a starting berth in Barcelona.
Sevilla FC – RC Celta (Thursday 4 February, 20:30 CET)
The first leg between the Andalusians and Galicians comes just three days before they meet in the Liga BBVA on Sunday. Sevilla, who have embarked on a ten-match unbeaten run on home soil in the league, take on a Celta side who will be making their first semi-final appearance in 15 years.
The teams are in contrasting form, with Sevilla on a high from a 3-1 victory over Levante UD while the visitors were beaten by UD Las Palmas in their last outing in the Liga BBVA. As for previous cup meetings, the last three matches at the Sanchez-Pizjuan all ended 2-0 to the hosts.
